I’m usually the girl who loves neutral and simple eye makeup, but I thought it would be fun to experiment with my Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette. Today I’m sharing an easy smoky eye makeup tutorial featuring a couple of silver eye shadows, nude lip color and a volumizing mascara.
I started off by applying the shade Armor from the Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette all over my lid and into the crease. I then applied the shade Slanted into my crease and used a blending brush to blend both shadows together. Using a flat eyeshadow brush by Sigma, I applied the highlight shade High to my brow bone and to the inner corners of my eyes. I finished the smoky shadow look by lining my upper and lower lash lines with the shade Dagger. Once my eye makeup was completed, I applied two coats of Chanel Le Volume mascara to my lashes.
I wanted to keep the focus of this look on my eyes, so I chose a nude lip color by Bobbi Brown. I love the shade Pale Mauve because it is so natural and pretty!
To set the entire look, I applied E.L.F’s Beautifully Bare finishing powder in the shade light/medium. This powder is super affordable and does a great job of keeping my makeup in place.
And that’s it! A quick and simple smoky eye that only uses a few shades of eyeshadow and nude lips. One of my favorite tricks is using eyeshadow as eyeliner because it’s so much easier to apply and makes the smoky eye look so much more effortless.
I’d love to know what makeup look you’d like to see next. Let me know in the comments section below!
