My Classic Glam Makeup Tutorial: Red Lip + Winged Liner

If you watch my YouTube beauty channel, you know that I typically create natural and everyday makeup tutorials. I was recently inspired by my friend Claudia to try out a glam makeup look featuring bold red lips and winged eyeliner. I think it’s fun to experiment with new looks every now and then so this was a fun look to create!

I start off my makeup routine by applying L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation in the shade 205. This foundation has quickly become one of my favorite foundations because it works so well on my combination skin. It is medium coverage and is buildable, so you never get that cakey feeling. The next step is to apply cheek color. I used the Bobbi Brown Nude Glow Eye & Cheek Palette and used French Pink on my cheeks. To contour, I applied a bit of Bobbi Brown Bronzer in the shade medium to my face, focusing on my cheeks, forehead and chin.

I like to highlight my face with concealer, so for this look I applied Nars Creamy Concealer in the shade Vanilla, under the eyes, down the nose, and around my eyebrows. After I’ve applied all of the above products to my face, I set all of my makeup with E.L.F. Cosmetics Beautifully Bare Finishing Powder in the shade Light/Medium.

I kept my eyeshadow pretty simple for this look to accentuate the winged liner. I used a mixture of light brown and beige shades in the Bobbi Brown Nude Glow Eye & Cheek Palette all over my lid using my Sigma eyeshadow brush. Then I use Kat Von D Tattoo Liner pen to create the winged eye look. I let the eyeliner dry for a few seconds before smudging the liner using a dark brown eyeshadow from the Bobbi Brown palette. I also use the dark brown eyeshadow on my lower lash line to enhance the smokey eye look.

Once the liner look is complete, I use a medium brown eyeshadow and define the eye crease area with a fluffy Sigma eyeshadow brush. I also shape my brows with the Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Long-Wear Brow Pencil in the shade Mahogany. To finish off this glam eye look, I apply a couple of coats of Makeup Forever Smoky Extravagant Mascara.

My favorite part of this classic glam makeup look is the lip color! I used Bobbi Brown University Lips palette and mixed the shades Orange and Red together to create a vibrant red shade. I love how my lip color ended up matching my dress color!
