A couple of months ago I spent a day in New York for a conference and it was incredible! Instead of staying around Times Square like I usually would, this time I ventured over to Soho and experienced a completely different vibe. I’ve never seen an area so lush and filled with beautiful trees in New York and I can’t wait to go back!
WHERE TO STAY IN SOHO: PUBLIC HOTEL
I did some research before visiting NYC and came across a brand new hotel called Public. I decided to book a room there and I’m so glad I did because Public is absolutely stunning! The hotel was built in June and was designed to be a luxurious yet affordable hotel with Instagram worthy views. When I first arrived at Public, I was immediately taken aback by the illuminated escalators. It seems like every space in Public has been carefully crafted with no spare in details.
My room was quaint and there was a huge focus on light. By the bedside is a master control with functions to light up the entire bedroom and an ability to lower or raise the window shades. I was also incredibly excited by the rainfall shower head – it’s the little things!
WHERE TO SHOP IN SOHO: BROADWAY
Since I was only in Soho for a day and a big portion of that day was filled with my conference, I didn’t get to explore too much in Soho, however, I did get to shop during my breaks and I would totally recommend visiting Broadway. You’ll find stores like Sephora, Uniqlo, Banana Republic and more on Broadway. I also got to visit a really cute e.l.f. cosmetics store on Broadway and picked up several new makeup products.
Have you ever visited Soho before? Where should I visit next time I’m in NYC? Let me know in the comments section.
