2019 Beauty Favorites

I can’t believe we are celebrating a brand new decade! 2019 was full of exploration when it came to me trying out new beauty products. I spent the year trying to narrow down my products to find my holy grail items + special occasion items. I’m so excited to share with you all my favorite makeup, hair and skincare products. It’s such a great feeling to find products that you love and can’t wait to use over and over again. I’m still tempted by the latest product launches throughout the year, but I have definitely found my staple items and will be repurchasing many in 2020.

There were so many great foundation launches in 2019, but I found myself going back to one of my favorite foundations from previous years, Giorgio Armani’s Power Fabric Longwear High Cover Foundation in the shade 6. I’m a huge fan of Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation as well, but the Power Fabric foundation leaves my skin with a beautiful matte finish that still looks incredibly natural. I have combination skin that sometimes runs a bit dry, but this type of matte foundation doesn’t cling to dry patches, and it is medium coverage that you can build up if needed.

During the summer and fall seasons, I wore Laura Mercier’s Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer in the shade Natural almost every single day. I love the sheer to medium coverage and the shade matches my skin tone perfectly. This tinted moisturizer is so luminous and hydrating! It’s wonderful if you are on the hunt for a natural looking everyday base product. You can add a bit of pressed powder on top to increase the coverage for a night out or special occasion and it still looks amazing.

Bobbi Brown’s Crushed Liquid Lipstick is now a holy grail lip product for me. I usually never wear red lip shades, but the shades Big Apple and Cherry Crush are gorgeous and I found myself wearing them all the time during the holidays. The formula for this lip product is so intriguing – it goes on like a liquid lip color but feels like a lip balm. It is so pigmented!

I used to spend $40+ on mascara, until I found L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara at Target. It gives me volumized lashes that look like false lashes! I definitely trying this mascara and the primer that goes with it.

2019 was a year for my eyebrows. I love Anastasia Beverly Hills brow products. She launched the DIPBROW Gel in 2019 and it’s my favorite product in her collection. It’s so easy to swipe on some gel over my brows – it fills them out and makes my eyebrows look so much more polished. I also love the Brow Wiz pencil. I use the shade medium brown.

Charlotte Tilbury’s Cheek to Chic Blush in the shade Pillow Talk is so good, I recommend it to all of my friends and family. I love that this blush looks great on a variety of skin tones. It is a rosy pink that is super flattering and pretty. I have most of Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk collection and it’s totally worth the splurge.

The Dyson Airwrap Styler continues to be one of my favorite purchases of all time. I used to visit the salon each month for blowouts and that added up quickly. After I purchased the Airwrap, I rarely visit a salon anymore. I have thick curly hair and each time I use the Airwrap, my hair is bouncy and so soft. I can’t recommend this tool enough. It is a game changer!

Bumble and bumble’s Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil collection is perfection in a bottle for thick hair. I love the shampoo and conditioner so much, I purchased the 32oz bottles which have lasted me for months. The leave in primer is my daily detangler, and when I straighten my hair, I always use the oil. My hair is so much healthier ever since I started using this collection. The conditioner is thick, so if you have fine hair, you might want to try out a sample to see if you like it.

Another brand that I love is Brigeo – they have so many nice hair products to choose from. I received a sample of their Farewell Frizz Blow Dry Perfection Heat Protectant Crème in the summer and fell in love. I apply the creme to damp hair and then blow out my hair with my Dyson Airwrap. It keeps my hair soft and shiny!

The Ordinary is an incredible brand for skincare, and it is so affordable! I purchased the daily set during the fall of 2019 and then repurchased it around the holidays. I love the moisturizer, hyaluronic acid and squalene cleanser. During the winter, my skin is usually really dry. Ever since I started using these three products, my skin is hydrated and so soft!

Drunk Elephant is another favorite brand of mine. I received the Lippe Balm in a set from Sephora and now it’s my go-to lip balm product. It is really hydrating on my lips. I use this as a base before I apply lipstick and I love it!

I placed this under skin care since it goes on the skin, but I love my fragrance – Maison Louis Marie No.04 Bois de Balincourt Eau de Parfum Travel Spray. The travel spray is so convenient for travel. If you love the smell of sandalwood, this is the perfume for you!
